Hey! I'm Nicole Coffield, the person behind Collage Graduate. I'm a cis queer, iced-coffee-drinking badass with a love for digital art, web design, collecting way too many fonts, and making obscure pop culture references that maybe three people will understand. I'm currently creating weird and wonderful things in Chico, California.
My work is whimsical, colorful, a little kitschy, and doesn't take itself too seriously (much like me). I love mixing vintage imagery, unexpected textures, and a healthy dose of weirdness to create collages that make people look twice.
Beyond making cool art, collage has also become a form of therapy for me. Living with bipolar disorder and depression isn't always easy, and creating gives me a way to process emotions, get out of my head, and turn some of that chaos into something beautiful, funny, or just plain strange.
When I'm not cutting, pasting, and collecting more fonts than any reasonable person needs, I'm putting my degree from California State University, Chico, to work in the nonprofit world while pursuing my master's in Nonprofit Management.
And because apparently I don't know how to sit still, I also run Little Underground Studio, my creative design firm where I help small businesses, nonprofits, and other cool people bring their ideas to life. I'm also the person behind Chico Cinema Club, a community project dedicated to bringing film lovers together, celebrating cinema, and keeping movie culture alive in Chico.
Basically, I love art, community, good design, weird movies, and making things that are a little different. I believe creativity should be fun, accessible, and a little unexpected.
